The incident, which occurred on April 5, saw the swift action of law enforcement, resulting in the recovery of stolen cash, a cutter, and an auto believed to be linked to the crime.
Identified Suspects and Criminal Histories
The arrested individuals were identified as Syed Abul Hassan (32), Syed Taleb Ali (22), and Syed Taher Ali (30). Abul, an auto driver from Kishanbagh, has a concerning criminal record, with 17 previous cases, including an NDPS case. Taleb, a private employee residing in Yakutpura, also has a history of seven cases in various areas.
The Robbery Incident
The robbery unfolded around 9:45 am on April 5 when the victim, Mohammed Dasthagiri, parked his auto near Chilla close to the Salarjung Museum. As Dastagir took a break, he was approached by the assailants who swiftly attacked him. Despite complying with their demands, Dastagiri sustained injuries before the perpetrators fled the scene.
