Pride of Hyderabad Awards 2025: Honouring Change-Makers, Empowering Young Innovators

Hyderabad, India – The Pride of Hyderabad Awards 2025 is all set to recognize and celebrate real change-makers who are shaping the city’s future. Organized annually by Weave Media, the event not only honors outstanding contributors to Hyderabad’s growth but also channels its proceeds into creating opportunities for youth and persons with disabilities (PwDs).

Now in its fourth edition, the awards ceremony is supported by the Government of Telangana, including the Departments of Information Technology, Tourism, and Language & Culture. Over the past three years, more than 225 individuals from diverse fields have been felicitated for their remarkable impact.

Empowering Through Recognition and Opportunity

With a strong commitment to social inclusion, Weave Media has utilized funds raised through the event to provide upskilling, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities to over 75 persons with disabilities.

This year, in celebration of World Entrepreneurs’ Day (August 21, 2025), the Pride of Hyderabad Awards will honor startups, industrialists, college managements, incubators, bankers, and corporate organizations. The event will take place at T-Hub, Hyderabad’s premier innovation hub.

Vision Behind the Initiative

Speaking at a press conference, Koppula Vasundhara, CEO of Weave Media and Founder of Gurthimpu Foundation, shared her inspiring journey:

“My dream was to become a TV anchor. I came to Hyderabad from a lower-middle-class background, living with a disability and with no support system. Though I didn’t become an anchor, Hyderabad gave me the platform to become an entrepreneur. Through Weave Media and Gurthimpu Foundation, I have been able to support my community and contribute to Telangana’s economy.”

She announced the upcoming launch of the Pride of Hyderabad Magazine and Channel, which will showcase the stories of real impact-makers.

Additionally, Vasundhara revealed plans to launch India’s first accessible business incubator for PwDs—DE Hub, with the first batch of a 12-month business training program already completed.

Government and Ecosystem Support

At the press meet, Mr. Nikhil Chakravarthi, IAAS, Director of Industries, urged the youth:

“Take full advantage of this opportunity. Through the DEET platform, you can either become job creators or find meaningful employment.”
