In a proud moment for Mancherial district, two young girls and a boy showcased their exceptional skills at the state-level under-19 taekwondo championship, organized by the School Games Federation at Sadashivapet in Sangareddy district. The competition, held over two days, witnessed fierce performances from talented athletes across the state.
Karla Shreeja clinched the gold medal in the under-40 kg category with a stellar display of agility and technique. Joining her at the podium, Asmitha secured another gold medal in the under-63 kg segment, cementing their dominance in the competition. Meanwhile, Jagadish brought home a bronze medal in the under-73 kg category, adding to Mancherial’s accolades.
A Testament to Dedication and Training
Coach Manda Srinivas, who mentored the trio, expressed immense pride in their achievements. “Their success is a result of relentless hard work, discipline, and determination. They’ve made not just their families but the entire district proud,” he said.
The athletes were felicitated by the district Taekwondo Association. President B. Rama Rao and secretary Venkata Swamy congratulated the medalists and their coach, highlighting their achievements as an inspiration for young athletes in the region.
