Hansram, who previously resided in a rented house in Quthbullapur, faced marital issues due to his alcohol addiction, leading his wife to seek refuge at her mother’s place. Consequently, Hansram relocated to Binay Singh’s room, offered to him by the latter, who worked for a local granite merchant. The accused, identified as Sonu Tiwari from Bihar and Sandeep Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, were colleagues of Binay Singh and lived nearby.

Upon their return from work on Tuesday, the accused, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, assaulted Binay Singh for failing to cook rice. Subsequently, they also attacked Hansram, resulting in his tragic demise.
The accused fled the scene following the incident. Binay Singh, upon realizing the severity of the situation, informed his employer, who promptly notified the authorities. A case has been registered, and investigations are currently ongoing.
